Happy New Year! Bringing back the weekly updates. | Monday Briefing 1/9/17

So after a very busy December, things are winding back down and it is time to get the word out about my services.

I figure, seeing how you are here, you are probably very aware of what I can do, but my goal here is to provide a resource to prospective brides and grooms on hints, tips or tricks to help them with planning their wedding, breakdowns on local venues I have performed, and other spotlight vendors I enjoy working with or may have a special niche that may interest someone. I also will elaborate on events I perform at and pretty much everything revolving around WMP, Weddings and Mobile DJing.

So I am hoping within the next couple of years I will be able to earn enough to attend Mobile Beat Las Vegas. Here is their 20th Recap Video >> [LINK] I would be looking forward to checking out all the booths. Seeing if there are any groups I might be able to learn something from, and just generally network myself. It looks like a really fun show to attend. I just hope it would be informative enough to be worth the cost.

Another big step for my company is going to be getting Business Insurance and becoming a member of the ADJA. The ADJA is the oldest DiscJockey Association in America and I would feel greatly appreciative in being a part of their group. There are a few added bonuses with being a member of coarse, but only time will tell if it will be a good step for me. I am serious about being a respectable and professional Mobile DJ, and I feel these steps will definitely put me in the right place.

I was looking into a service for my business called DJTrivia. Basically it is an hour and a half trivia show put on every Wednesday. Unfortunately at this moment it is out of my price range. But I hope in the near future to be able to attain the rights for the Spokane/CDA area.

I am also looking into a few new item for my set up that would assist me in getting my Karaoke set up fully functional.

First off, implementation of video added to my current setup >> Serato Video
I will be picking up the Serato Video expansion because I really like the look and feel of Serato.

Next up >> Mixer Board
The Peavey PV 14 AT has a really nifty Auto-Tune feature that is absolutely perfect for Karaoke. Bad singer? No problem. You can make them sound like a superstar and be back the next week.

Video Converters
I need a couple for these bad boys. They will be the integral piece to my video setup.

And last but not least >> Microphones

Hopefully I should be able to attain all of these pieces within the next month or two. At least that is the goal anyway. So for now, I bid you all adieu.
